Episode 12: PKTories Bring Jamil Jivani to Town

Peterborough MP Michelle Ferreri's Electoral District Association, the Peterborough-Kawartha Conservatives (@pktories) held their AGM on Saturday, Feb 1, 2024 at the Lakefield Legion Branch 77. Guest speaker was Durham Conservative MP Jamil Jivani, the candidate parachuted in to vie for former Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole's vacated seat.

You may remember the "Trudeaus are Marxists" video. Our MP, as she has done numerous times in many provinces, travelled to Durham in the fall of 2023 to canvass on behalf of Jamil Jivani and Pierre Poilievre. The widely shared video was set up and filmed by our MP Ferreri, heard here coercing this senior into speaking. 


MP Jivani has expressed strong Christian nationalism views as well as views against "woke education". Here is the petition he's sponsoring to "Protect Christian Canada", a petition that has been endorsed by US VP JD Vance. I'm not sure if I'm reading veiled "parental rights" & pro-life language?

This is who the Peterborough-Kawartha Conservative Association and MP Michelle Ferreri hosted this past weekend in our Riding's Branch 77, Lakefield Legion to a private, registered audience. As one of Ferreri's Constituent summarizes:

Note that as a "best friend" to JD Vance, MP Jivani attended Trump's inauguration. So here we have the degrees of separation, and it begs the question: Is this what we and in particular Conservatives, want for this Riding?

Remember Melissa Outwater, infamous as the originator of the petition to oust the government, & whom Michelle Ferreri sponsored, marketed and then presented to the House of Commons? She attended and streamed the meeting live and posted it to her Canadians for Change and Accountability Facebook page. As a Constituent noted on X:



This conversation went on for 45 minutes. Michelle Ferreri then concludes with one of her famous stream-of-consciousness rants that never make any sense, using the buzzwords "more than a war", "huge fentanyl labs in Canada", "change how we make doors", "liberal loyalists" and "like an abusive relationship", listen here:


There is so much to unpack with this weekend's event held at a Canadian Legion in our Riding. Does Veterans Affairs Canada condone this use of their facility with all the claims that were made?  Do Peterborough Conservative voters condone their Federal representative and their Electoral District Association hosting and facilitating this type of conversation? 

It was held on a weekend filled with tariff anxiety, leadership from the Canadian Government and a unified front between our government, Premiers, business and unions in this country. Why would our MP completely ignore what is facing Canadians right now and instead focus on keeping Conservatives rage-engaged?  Is it all they've got?

Recently, one of our Riding's esteemed elders & community member, Rosemary Ganley, received the Order of Canada. Michelle Ferreri ignored Ms. Ganley & the honour awarded to this Constituent. Included in her weekly Peterborough Examiner column is the following statement. We'd all do well to heed it.

Episode 6: Bots for Ferreri & Intimidating Local Press

Another $20,000 week in salary and expenses for our Peterborough MP Michelle Ferreri. And what did our Riding get? MP Ferreri stood in the House of Commons on Tuesday and prefaced her rambling, 18-minute obstructionist speech with "Madam Speaker, it is always a true pleasure and honour to rise in the House of Commons and speak on behalf of the incredible people of Peterborough-Kawartha". Her speech followed her normal performance arc of starting quietly, getting increasingly theatrical, waving paper around, leaning forward in anger and eventually yelling her points aggressively, this time to a mostly-empty House. Episode 4: 112 Social Media posts to 136,000 followers! Our Riding? Not So Much

You read that right, folks. My MP Michelle Ferreri posted 112+ times in 5 days Nov 18-22/24 on her 3 official MP social media channels, reaching 136,000 followers.  Those 5 days cost taxpayers just under $20,000 in salary and expenses, based on tracking her spending since being elected. What did our Riding get? Well, let's Examine that. Flooding her channels with videos, statements, attacks on female colleagues, Committee expert witnesses and re-shares, her point is to overwhelm - no one can keep up with 22 posts/day from your elected MP, each one designed to leave you on edge, looking for sources, trying to make meaning out of the rage she's baiting you with.  Personally, I can come to a few conclusions. Conservative support numbers are bad, Poilievre is still the only Party leader to not have a top level security clearance, she's working hard to remain on Poilievre's front bench, Liberal progress is astoundingly positive and the Foreign Interference Inquiry report is ...
