Episode 2: e-Petition Author, sponsored by Ferreri, celebrates at Trump rally in Georgia
In the aftermath of the US election, its enticing to give up.
But then a social media post surfaces that strengthens our resolve.
"Melissa Anne", on the right (literally) in her own Facebook post, is unemployed Melissa Outwater, Peterborough MP Michelle Ferreri's constituent responsible for leading the e-petition to initiate one of several failed non-confidence votes to oust Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. To note: as an MP, Michelle Ferreri can initiate a non-confidence vote on her own at any time.
Ferreri's e-petition stunt used taxpayer money, both in her own Riding and in her Ottawa office, as well as Parliamentary resources to sponsor, draft, promote and certify this e-petition to get it on to the House of Commons floor and into the Parliamentary record. It then required additional staff to provide a Government response in both official languages.
How much did that cost taxpayers?
Ferreri hosted Ms. Outwater and her entourage afterwards to talk next steps and video'd it in the House of Commons hallway. Weeks later, Ms. Outwater was given 30 minutes' Parliamentary Press Gallery time to host a press conference, broadcast on CPAC, a resource available only through an MP.
This raises quite a few questions, least of which is:
Unemployed, who is funding Ms. Outwater, her MAGA work and travel?
This movement is not at our door, its all the way in our door, and our Riding's door, thanks in large part to Peterborough MP Michelle Ferreri.
